This article was very informative.
I use the Gimp. But for less complex editor I usually use PaintNET.
I have a XPPen Deco Fun drawing tablet, Using a pen so much more intuitive than using a mouse. I feel like using a mouse to edit is like trying to use a brick to draw instead of a pencil.

Invoicing software reduces the paper work and also streamlines the online billing and payment.
I am also using CaseFox legal billing and invoicing software for many years. It reduced my paper work seamlessly.

long time Elementary user. Loved 6.1 upgrade, but I have always want to "taste test" Solus. But being somewhat a dumbass, I was afraid to try it because the install process to dual boot, looked complicated (couldn't have been more wrong about that!). So, I finally took the plunge. I used the live USB version for a full day, and just decided to "do it", I didn't even hesitate, I installed over Elementary 6.1 without hesitation! I now have it dual booted with Windows 11, and I will say that I did not hesitate to change Solus to first in the BIOS boot order! I just fell in love with this distro! It's so comfortable to use, flows easily, hasn't had even one bug or glitch! It's refreshingly different while also VERY Linux. I like the security of Linux, so for now, Solus, for me (4.3 Budgie) will be my daily driver and Windows will be my "necessary evil" driver on a case by case, as i need it, basis! Loved your review - spot on!

Manjaro when comparing to MX Linux and MS Windows has more bugs on relatively new HW. I am quite unhappy about the number of bugs and no signs from developers to fix it (i am using the official forum). Part of the burden goes on Arch Linux i think. I had no opportunity to try Debian yet, which is next big distribution said to have latest SW, HW support.

I tried the latest Solus release 4.3 Budgie. It's indeed very fast. Pitty you can't enlarge the time and date. Bit to small for my taste. Maybe you can, but I couldn't find how.

I've been trying out a few Linux distros for the past 5 years, and this journey has gotten me currently on MX Linux 19.4. I have to say that right now there's no distro other than MX that makes me more glad that I've ditched MS Windows to dive into the Linux world. As a Debian based XFCE flavoured distro, it means that it's stable, it's light on resources and it's very versatile. While its out-of-the-box-experience can be a bit daunting, it has just about everything one would need, and that can be somewhat disorientating for anyone coming over straight from MS Windows. Being tied to the Debian band-wagon rather than Ubuntu has its pros and cons, and even a cursory search on Google can give you plenty of reading on that issue, however, for anyone who's gotten this far, it shouldn't be a deal breaker. Because I only had a couple or so specific needs, I only had a couple of minor tweaks that I had to get right in MX, but it is definitely better than Windows for everything else I want. For me, the biggest draw card in XFCE was the addition of an app menu in the desktop 'right-click' context menu, and MX does XFCE very well. Not to mention that you can customize the hell out of it. However, just like everything else in Linux, you can only appreciate MX after a long search, and a long journey of trials and errors, and that in itself is the biggest deterrent to anyone else who isn't ready for that.

after this command
`sudo update-initramfs -u`

ubuntu 18.04 the system boots up with a black screen. nvidia drivers totally crashed.
also there was no file `zz-nvidia-modeset.conf` in that directory.

I'm sorry to hear this. The PulseCMS software was recently acquired by a new team. There is online chat for support. Although I am pretty sure it was there before we took the reigns. If you have issues, message the Pulse team via online chat. As of January 2021, we created a 14-day refund policy for annual renewals going forward.

I would love to see your thoughts on HCL software, Liferay and Squiz. Too little or almost no mention of these products. In niche players you talked about all but Squiz.

PulseCMS team here. It would be great to see both Volt CMS and PulseCMS on the list. Both were updated in the past year. Both integrate into Blocs. With Volt having particularly good native Blocs integration. PulseCMS has many integrations aimed for a designer/pro user- with integrations into Blocs, RapidWeaver Stacks, MarsEdit for blogging, granular updates to preserve customization, etc. It's not free like the others, but it has advantages worth mentioning for those using a CMS for work purposes.
